Tasks

-Shape Regional Strategy: Collaborate with leadership to craft and execute a long-term strategy for the growth and development of KFA’s Stormwater Practice in Central Texas. -Drive Business Development: Cultivate client partnerships, direct project pursuits, and guide proposals, contracts, and presentations. -Promote Technical Excellence: Apply advanced expertise in H&H modeling tools (e.g., HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, InfoWorks ICM) to ensure innovative project delivery that meets client needs. -Deliver Complex Projects: Lead the design and delivery of high-impact municipal stormwater projects, including drainage master planning, flood mitigation studies, storm drainage improvements, and channel restoration initiatives. -Lead and Grow the Team: Manage and mentor a talented group of stormwater professionals in Central Texas, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented team culture.

What You Bring

-Expertise in FEMA floodplain modeling, floodplain mapping, and TCEQ water quality design. -Proven success working with Central Texas municipalities, especially the City of Austin. -Certified Floodplain Manager (CFM) designation is a strong plus. -Proficiency with hydrologic and hydraulic modeling tools, such as HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, and Civil 3D or MicroStation. -Background in channel design and stream bank stabilization. -Texas PE license and a bachelor’s or master’s degree in civil or environmental engineering. -Experience with advanced modeling software (XPSWMM, InfoWorks ICM, HEC-RAS 2D). -Minimum 10 years of experience delivering municipal stormwater projects, with at least 3 years of experience in a leadership or project management role. -Experience managing City of Austin Watershed Protection Department (WPD) projects. -Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective collaboration with clients and teams.
