Tasks

*EAD will provide training, administrative/engineering controls, and personal protective equipment as necessary. -Mentoring and coaching team members -Lead small teams consisting of various engineering disciplines and other project support personnel -Authorizes billing to client -Sign client/firm agreement, if legally qualified within the limits of EAD signatory policy -Act as single point of contact to the client, senior-level project managers and company executives -Responsible for maintaining appropriate project documentation in the proper locations -May work near moving mechanical parts and equipment* -Responsible for project reporting including resource utilization and project profitability -Lead multiple, large, multi-disciplinary projects -Lead preparation of proposals including scope definition, schedule development and budget estimates -Responsible for communications, escalations and resolving complex client issues -Responsible for adhering to all EAD's safety standards and practices -Report into senior and executive management -Ensure projects are delivered under budget, within schedule, within the agreed-to scope and with great customer experience -Tracking and delivering project metrics -Maintains understanding of project financial issues -Manage client's project expectations and requirements -Accountable for project costs, schedules, performance and safety

What You Bring

EAD Engineering is looking for an experienced Project Manager/Construction Manager for projects in industrial, processing, institutional and commercial facilities. The Project Manager/Construction Manager is responsible for leading cross-functional teams of process/business experts, engineers, and designers to deliver client projects on time, on budget and in scope. They are also the primary point of contact for new clients from closing the sale to successful project execution. -Travel and/or field experience required -Ability to multi-task while working on numerous projects simultaneously at various stages of completion -Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Chemical, Construction, or Civil Engineering and six years of relevant working experience with advanced knowledge in mechanical engineering, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience -Ability to sit and work at computer for extended periods of time -Engineering consulting firm experience -Understand and perform critical path analysis -Ability to meet project deadlines -PMP certified or committed to obtain the certification within 12 months -Proficient in executing fast tracked projects -Scope management and client management skills -Office, Commercial and/or Industrial setting with the potential of exposure to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals* -Working knowledge of excel including macros -Possess and able to maintain a valid driver's license -Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.* -Self-starter with strong attention to detail -Ability to walk up numerous flights of stairs/ladders multiple times a day and/or work in tight spaces in extreme conditions -Ability to manage small to large projects -Must have a proven track record of accomplishments as a project manager or lead engineer on industrial projects and be capable of supervising and directing a team of engineers, contractors, and vendors -Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, while being capable of interacting effectively with plant operations from the maintenance level through and including the executive level -High level interpersonal skills, tact, and diplomacy -Ability to develop business opportunities -Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office, MS Project required -Experience in working with food manufacturing, life sciences, bioprocess and/or petrochemical companies, construction of large industrial plants, or power stations will be advantageous -Six years of experience in project management/execution with an understanding of standard project management processes/procedures -Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
