Tasks
The Civil GPS Technician / Drone Surveyor will play a key role in supporting field operations by managing drone data collection, GPS modeling, and survey control for active civil construction projects. This position bridges technology and fieldwork - providing precise data to ensure efficient, accurate project execution. -Perform quality checks and troubleshoot equipment, including base stations and rover setups. -Process drone data using Pix4D or comparable photogrammetry software to generate detailed models. -Build and maintain accurate GPS site models for field control and machine guidance. -Assist in training field staff on GPS and drone usage best practices. -Support the integration of drone and GPS technologies to streamline project workflows. -Interpret and analyze field drawings, CAD files, and survey data to maintain as-built accuracy. -Upload and manage models in GPS-enabled equipment, ensuring accuracy and compliance. -Operate drones to capture topographic and progress data on civil construction job sites. -Coordinate with Project Managers, Superintendents, and field teams to address GPS-related issues.

What You Bring
In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and complete the required employment eligibility verification document form upon hire. -Strong math skills (geometry, trigonometry, error analysis). -Experience building 3D site models and transferring data between office and field equipment. -Minimum 2+ years of experience in civil construction or surveying. -Working knowledge of CAD software (AGTEK, Civil 3D, or similar). -Familiarity with Pix4D or equivalent drone data processing software. -Proficiency with GPS and machine control systems (Trimble preferred). -FAA Part 107 Drone License required. -Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
