Mill/Yard Manager

Manage yard/mill staff, oversee stock, deliveries, customer service and safety.

Tasks

-Work with colleagues to suggest opportunities for improvement to help you balance work and life -Producing monthly reports -Maintain stock levels in both the warehouse and yard areas, carrying out regular stock counts -Work as a direct support the management team and act as a keyholder when needed -Keep the branch looking clean and tidy and make Health & Safety a priority -Welcome customers to the branch and take an active interest in their projects -Managing a small team Yard/Mill staff -Supporting the Operations Manager -Ensure your team are set up for the day, including delivery drivers with route planning -Check incoming deliveries and report missing or damaged products -Help to process and prepare customer orders - load and unload customer and supplier vehicles using a forklift truck to minimise manual handling

What You Bring

-Confident working both indoors and outdoors, with a strong focus on H&S -Supervisory experience is essential -A genuine enthusiasm for dealing with customers -Comfortable in a role involving extensive manual handling of bulky items
