Tasks
-Maintain up-to-date knowledge of HR compliance requirements and best practices. -Utilize payroll software to manage employee data and generate reports. -Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures. -Manage direct deposit setups, payroll corrections, and final paychecks. -Maintain payroll records, including wage adjustments, benefits deductions, and tax withholdings. -Generate and analyze payroll and HR compliance reports for management review. -Reconcile payroll discrepancies and respond to payroll-related inquiries from employees. -Conduct regular audits of HR processes and records to ensure ongoing compliance. -Accurately process weekly payroll for all employees, ensuring all data is correct and up to date. -Provide guidance to employees on payroll and compliance-related matters. -Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations. -Address and resolve employee concerns related to payroll discrepancies or compliance issues. -Prepare and file compliance reports as required.

What You Bring
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized HR Payroll Specialist/Manager to join our team. This role is critical in ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing, tax reporting, and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience temporary staffing industry, with a strong background in payroll management, and a solid understanding of HR practices related to compensation, benefits, and compliance. -Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with integrity. -Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook). -TempWorks and/or Avionte experience is required (must-have). -Multi-state payroll experience is strongly preferred. -Certification such as CPP (Certified Payroll Professional) or SHRM-CP (Society for Human Resource Management Certified Professional) is a plus. -Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred). -Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate across departments. -3+ years of payroll experience with a strong HR background in compliance and benefits administration. -Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail. -Solid understanding of payroll practices, wage and hour regulations, and tax compliance.
