Tasks
-Perform Phase I and II environmental site assessments to support property transfer transactions per ASTM standards. -Conduct environmental field investigations and data collection/sampling. -Conduct self-monitoring quality assurance/quality control and QA/QC reviews of other professionals. -Support the evaluation of the nature and extent of contamination, support risk assessments, and evaluate remedial alternatives. -Participate in team-based project work resulting in client satisfaction and the on-time completion of quality technical work products. -Prepare accurate and professional technical reports and presentations. -Adhere to ERM NewFields and client health and safety practices and protocols. -Document research and review related to environmental impacts. -Prepare work plans, cost estimates, project schedules, and project proposals for continuing investigation and remedial activities at various sites. -Conduct site testing, design/optimize remediation systems, and evaluate viable remedial alternatives. -Oversee field activities (i.e., drilling, sampling, maintenance activities, and routine testing) and subcontractors. -Evaluate, select, and apply standard techniques and procedures for engineering data analysis. Compile and assess environmental data using spreadsheets, databases, and GIS.

What You Bring
-Bachelor's degree in Geology, Hydrogeology, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Civil Engineering or related discipline. -Familiar with MS Office. -Familiar with AutoCAD, ArcGIS, and groundwater transport models such as ModFlow 6 or similar, are a plus. -2+ years experience in environmental consulting or related field. -Holds a 40 hour-HAZWOPER certification with 8 hour refresher. -The position requires sitting for long periods, extended hours working on a computer, and lifting up to 40 pounds. Field assignments are located in a variety of climate conditions and may require standing, squatting, bending, and lifting up to 40 pounds over prolonged periods. Ability to receive acceptable medical approval to visit remote manufacturing, marine terminals, or oil terminal sites. Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment on an infrequent basis. PPE may include a combination of hard hats, steel-toed safety shoes, protective eyewear, safety vests, work gloves, Nitrile gloves, fire retardant, or fire-resistant clothing in compliance with various facilities safety plans (potentially 12 times per year). -Required Travel: Seldom to moderate overnight travel events may be required. -Willingness to conduct field work in remote locations and inclement weather. -Driver's License Required: This position requires a valid driver's license and/or the ability to operate a company vehicle due to the nature of job duties, which include frequent travel to various client locations across a large geographical area. -Ability to work independently and as part of a team. -Ability to drive multiple hours per day, several days per month traveling to client offices, project sites, or other meetings across the tri-state area. -Candidate must have knowledge of New Jersey environmental regulations and technical guidance.
