Analyze payroll, ensure compliance, manage remittances, and provide financial reporting support.

Tasks
-Reconcile GL accounts. -Coordinate with the Digital Services team to test and implement payroll system calculations, reports, automation, and enhancements. -Preparing detailed reports of payroll information to internal stakeholders. -Maintain and safeguard confidential employee information. -Share knowledge and experiences with other team members -Leverage and utilize technology to help build efficiencies in payroll processes and reporting of remittances and financial data. -Perform payroll administrative tasks as required. -Process remittances related to payroll including disbursements to unions, employer associations, benefits, tax authorities and worker's compensation ensuring compliance with legislation in multiple provinces. -Work independently, research complex payroll issues and make recommendations for continuous improvements -Actively liaise with staff and management on payroll related inquiries. -Interpret collective agreements, work with management and unions to ensure compliance and deal with any issues as they arise.

What You Bring
-Background with large multi-union workforce across the country, ability to interpret collective agreements, union remittances and reporting requirements. -Efficient with creating financial models, spreadsheet analysis and respectful dealing with confidential information. -Payroll experience as well as working with a large ERP/HRIS system is a definite asset -Comfortable managing high volumes and consistently meeting tight deadlines while ensuring high attention to detail and accuracy. -Excellent communications skills, customer service orientation and a team player. -Qualified candidates will have a minimum of 4 years in a finance and/or payroll experience related capacity with demonstrated experience analyzing processes and complex data
