Tasks

-Timely submission of weekly reports -Responsible for organising work to an agreed program and to execute commissioning activities within the pre-set time scales and budgets. -Testing & Commissioning of HV and LV Switchgear and Equipment. -Effectively undertakes operational responsible for the daily management and setting to work of site commissioning field resources in order to maximize the potential for successful project delivery. -Communicating site non-compliances or deviations to Site Manager and Project Engineer. -Comply with the GE code of ethics. -Promote safe working practices and continual improvement in site safety culture. -Responsible for the effective and efficient testing and commissioning of substation equipment ensuring that agreed activities are carried out in strict accordance with the pre-set time scales, budgets and applicable quality processes. -Responsible for the preparation, creation and issue of site test documentation including but not limited to RAMS (Risk Assessment and Method Statement), NCR’s (Non-conformance Report), TQ’s (Technical Queries) in accordance with approved processes and procedures.

What You Bring

-Computer literate. -Adherence to company procedures, rules and GE Beliefs -Demonstrates expert knowledge and experience in the field of Site Commissioning. -Demonstrate adequate skills in interpretation, optimisation and application of company policies to achieve key deliverables. -Experience & knowledge of HV substation protection relays, SCADA systems an IEC61850 protocol. -Fault finding on protection schemes and use of test equipment such as omicron, programma & megger. -Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering / HND in Electrical Engineering or Equivalent. -Knowledge and experience of Construction and Field Services site work. -Enacts the role of LV Authorised Person (Advanced) in accordance with requirements of GE Low Voltage Safe Systems of Work (LVSSOW) procedures. -Capable of working independently in problem solving and decision making.
