Tasks

To support the Accounting team in maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and assisting in the preparation of financial reports. The Finance Assistant will contribute to the efficient running of the accounting function, ensuring compliance with company procedures, internal controls, and statutory regulations within a global manufacturing environment. -Prepare month end bank reconciliations for the management accounts. -Ensure compliance with Modine’s internal controls and corporate reporting standards. -Support both internal and external audit preparation preparing necessary documentation and ensuring timely and accurate responses to auditor requests. -Liaise with suppliers, customers, and internal departments to resolve accounting-related queries. -Recording, matching and coding supplier invoices accurately in SAP – in accordance with the general ledger and cost centre structure -Setting up new and existing vendor accounts in accordance with Modine policies -Participate in ad hoc financial projects and initiatives as assigned. -Maintain fixed asset registers and depreciation schedules. -Support month-end and year-end closing procedures, including accruals, prepayments, and journal entries. -Reconcile supplier statements and resolve invoice or payment discrepancies in a timely manner. -Provide administrative support to the Management Accountant, UK Accounting Manager and wider accounts team. -Processing employee expenses accurately and diligently in accordance with the employee expenses policy. -Prepare bank reconciliations and post cash receipts and payments on a daily basis -Assist in raising customer invoices and credit notes and monitoring aged debtors. -Assist in credit control and reconciling customer accounts in a timely manner

What You Bring

-Strong numerical and analytical skills. -Strong understanding of accounting principles and bookkeeping. -Studying towards a professional qualification (ACCA, CIMA). -Proficient in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, lookups, data analysis). -Minimum 1–3 years’ experience in a similar finance or accounts role. -Experience using SAP or similar ERP/accounting systems. -AAT Level 3/4 qualification or equivalent (or working towards). -Familiarity with international business transactions (multi-currency, VAT, import/export).
