  • Lifting heavy objects and stretching above your head
  • Install electrical equipment such as small rack mounted UPS equipment, various size batteries, UPS/Battery monitoring equipment.
  • Maintain Battery Cabinets and racks, Maintenance Bypass’, Battery Monitoring Equipment, DC Systems and other electrical equipment.
  • Isolate basic hardware, software, and interface malfunctions utilizing various test equipment on multiple products and technologies.
  • Customer relationship building – provide excellent customer service; upsell products.
  • Teach and mentor crew members on proper techniques for site work, troubleshooting, repair and analyzing site data.
  • Coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining 100% safety awareness.
  • Field troubleshooting calls from customers to satisfactory resolution.

  • Good understanding of AC/DC electrical principles.
  • Quickly respond to critical situations.
  • Ability to kneel or crouch periodically.
  • Understand and have experience enforcing compliance with FCC/FAA/EPA/OSHA regulations and standards.
  • Minimum of three (3) years serving in a third-party critical power field service or technical support role with a demonstrated progression in technical proficiency and capability -OR-
  • Minimum of five (5) years serving in an OEM service environment in the critical power space.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record (if driving a Company Vehicle) and pass a pre-employment drug screen.
  • Good judgment with the ability to make timely and sound decisions within fast paced changing priorities.
  • Read and interpret electronics schematics with the ability to troubleshoot failures/faults to the component level.
  • Ability to travel for multiple days with Per Diem as projects require.
  • Outstanding work ethic, punctual, trustworthy, and reliable – you will set the pace as a senior UPS/ Critical Power Engineer.
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 100 pounds for short durations.
  • Periodic and lifecycle-driven performance of remedial services, including failure analysis and troubleshooting, component replacements and repairs, and battery string replacements and installations.
  • Knowledge of test equipment operation, such as multi-meters, and battery test equipment.

  • Prior military training in electronics or avionics (A School, AIT, etc.) preferred.
