Laborer Admixtures

Overview

Operates forklift, loads/unloads totes, assists production, and performs equipment maintenance.

Tasks

-Will be responsible for interacting with driver’s delivery of raw materials, unloading and loading trucks, collecting bills of lading. -Employees will use power tools, hand tools, etc. to complete job tasks -Perform basic maintenance and preventative maintenance on valves, pumps, motors, etc. -Meet or exceed company safety standards -Adhere to all CEMEX rules and regulations at all times and wear proper safety equipment while on plant grounds -Need to ensure proper handling of totes as they load and unload fill stations; will also stage empty totes for later use -Will assist Production Manager with collection of samples from raw material and finished product and back up Quality Manager with testing as needed. -Perform basic troubleshooting of processing equipment -Daily Housekeeping of plant including sweeping, mopping, disposal of trash, etc. -Employees will work with dusty dry ingredients, hazardous raw materials, etc. -Perform work outside of plant -While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear, in order to communicate to employees/visitors as well as function safely around heavy rolling equipment -Operate fill stations and manual addition of dry ingredients

What You Bring

-Practice 5S throughout plant -1 yr. Forklift experience preferred, but not required -Heavy Work: Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds or force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects -Effective communication skills -Requires walking, sitting, lifting, pushing, pulling, and climbing to a significant degree -Must be able to perform all job functions which include, but may not be limited to, pushing, turning, and/or pulling of controls -Must pass DOT physical to include back x-ray, hearing test and drug/alcohol screen -1 yr. Production experience required -High School Diploma preferred; or equivalent -36-601.01). Smoking and/or the use of tobacco or related products is prohibited in and on CEMEX property as well as any building and/or vehicle owned or leased by CEMEX. -Basic math, reading, and writing skills
