The Role

Overview

Perform boundary surveys, manage staff, and utilize advanced geospatial software.

Tasks

-Organize and coordinate the work of field and office staff required to complete design, field and/or other tasks on more complex projects. -Assist in the preparation of project/task work plans. -May supervise assignments given to the Survey Technician(s). -Perform Quality Control review on reports, plans, specifications, cost estimates, and other contract documents prepared by others for accuracy and completeness. -Provide direction to staff to complete project objectives. -Provide accurate computation for the layout of subdivisions, roads and lots as well as buildings and utilities. -Provide assistance to staff in the preparation of reports/findings, plans, and other contract documents. -Monitor the work efforts of assigned staff including sub-consultants and/or contractors. -Analyze and prepare complete boundary survey by compiling record data and providing sound analysis and reason for accurate property line location.

What You Bring

-5+ years of related experience. -Advanced understanding of angular and linear measurement systems. -LSIT or PLS preferred. -Advanced knowledge of various surveying instruments, techniques, and computations. -Ability to read, write and understand English for purposes of comprehending written job-related communications and verbal instructions and interactions. -Proficient various data techniques and coding systems. -Advanced proficiency in Civil 3D, TBC (Trimble Business Center) & MicroStation. -Associate degree preferred, or equivalent technical experience. -Valid drivers’ license required and ability to operate a motor vehicle. MVR will be checked and monitored.
