The Role

Overview

Maintain, inspect, and repair fire protection systems to ensure safety and code compliance.

Tasks

-Read, interpret, and apply system design plans and building construction drawings and documents. -Ensure that work is in accordance with relevant codes. -Inspect, test and repair fire alarm wiring, fire alarm panels and peripheral equipment. -Perform routine maintenance on equipment and determine when and what kind of maintenance is required. -Identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair. -Install, repair, and inspect smoke and fire suppression systems. -Perform true test smoke detector sensitivity procedure. -Repair and test wet/dry systems; test fire alarm system devices using appropriate diagnostic programs and test equipment. -Inspect, repair or replace smoke/heat detectors and sprinkler heads.

What You Bring

-Must be a US or Australian citizen -BA/BS from an accredited institution -Must possess NICET II or NICET III -Must possess and maintain qualifications in accordance with US DoD Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC), or Australian equivalent acceptable to the USG -Ability to obtain a TS/SCI w/Poly or Australian PV clearance -Must have a minimum of five years of experience working with fire protection equipment and systems
