Tasks

-Review drawings and perform conceptual estimating -Assist with bidding, buyout, and subcontractor selection -Track project documentation and contribute to closeout -Participate in daily site walks and subcontractor meetings -Perform quantity takeoffs and detailed breakdowns -Learn and apply jobsite safety practices, including PPE, inspections, audits, and toolbox talks -Review drawings and plans on-site -Review plans and identify scopes of work -Attend pre-construction meetings with trades -Learn the proposal and budgeting process -Participate in project closeout processes -Conduct subcontractor scope reviews and clarifications

What You Bring

-Solid mathematical and problem-solving abilities -Strong time management and organizational skills -Enrollment in an accredited undergraduate program in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field -Learn about MEP subcontractors in design-build -Exposure to outdoor elements and construction noise during site visits -Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) -Mobility on and around active construction sites as well as in-office settings -Understand scheduling, project flow, and subcontractor feedback -Familiarity with CMiC, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Project -Strong collaboration skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams -Effective communication skills (written and verbal) -Extended periods working at a desk or computer screen -Prior construction management internship experience
