Maintenance Technician

Overview

Perform maintenance and repairs to keep affordable housing units safe, comfortable, and move‑in ready.

Tasks

-Care for the grounds – maintain curb appeal through mowing, trimming, flower-bed care, and seasonal snow/ice removal. -Bring spaces to life – perform routine and preventative maintenance including painting, drywall repair, carpentry, light plumbing, electrical, flooring, and cleaning to keep apartments move-in ready. -Respond with urgency – complete work orders promptly, communicate with the office team, and rotate for emergency on-call coverage (response within 30 minutes). -Prioritize Quality & compliance – follow all safety and property standards, keeping documentation and inspections accurate and up to date.

What You Bring

-Reliable transportation and flexibility to cover occasional overtime or nearby properties. -Basic Computer or mobile-app skills for work orders, timekeeping, and training (we’ll train you!). -High School Diploma or GED required. -Ability to lift 50 lbs regularly / up to 100 lbs occasionally. -Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a plus! -2+ years of apartment or residential maintenance experience (painting, drywall, plumbing, electrical, flooring; HVAC a plus). -Strong problem-solving, communication, and customer-service skills.
