Tasks

This position is embedded on site and involves close interaction with engineering, QA, safety, and construction delivery teams to ensure systems reach the required commissioning milestones. -Supporting or attending FATs, factory witness testing, and system demonstrations when required. -Coordinating closely with the QA/QC function and Authorised Persons to maintain consistency across the project. -Keeping track of progress against the commissioning schedule and identifying any areas that need attention. -Helping to manage the tagging, documentation and sign-off process for systems as they progress through commissioning stages. -Checking that site commissioning activities follow the approved procedures and safety standards. -Making sure testing records, scripts, and sign-offs are completed properly and filed. -Working directly with vendor teams to ensure the work being carried out matches the scope and documentation. -Attending and sometimes leading commissioning meetings to update the wider project group. -Looking after day-to-day commissioning tasks on site across both mechanical and electrical packages.

The project involves coordinating specialist vendors responsible for bringing key mechanical and electrical systems through testing, verification, and handover stages. -Practical understanding of construction site safety requirements. -Someone who works well with structured processes and can maintain clear documentation. -Decisive, comfortable coordinating multiple parties, and able to spot issues early. -Someone with a background in electrical or building services engineering, or an electrical trade with relevant commissioning experience. -Ideally 7+ years working in a commissioning or technical supervision role within construction, industrial plants, pharmaceuticals, power, or mission-critical environments. -Hands-on familiarity with LV/MV/HV systems and electrical testing / verification.
