The Role

Overview

Conduct planning assessments, manage applications & liaise with clients and councils.

Tasks

-Communicate with Spiire team members and / or clients to articulate recommendations for the site or land use to allow based on original assessments prepared -Prepare Planning, site assessments and due diligence reports -Manage planning applications for a variety of projects including built form, greenfield and infrastructure -Negotiate successful outcomes when there is diverging opinions -Liaise with other project subconsultant specialists (e.g. ecologist, traffic, cultural heritage) to obtain fit for purpose reports to support planning permit applications, this will include reviewing draft reports and providing feedback -Liaise with clients, council and other authorities on the status of planning applications, this includes presenting at Council meetings or forums

What You Bring

You are a qualified, experienced town planner or urban planner who has often been described as dependable and responsive; you are known for doing what you say you’ll do. -A willingness to stay up-to-date with changes in the planning policy framework across Victoria -Experience in a consulting firm (desired) -Experience in problem solving across projects -International experience in high density environment (desired) -Postgraduate qualification in a related discipline (desired) -Excellent record in project delivery -Minimum two years’ relevant post graduate experience, coupled with relevant Bachelor Degree Qualification
