Environmental Compliance Specialist/Project Manager

Tasks

-Work on-site at industrial locations with limited supervision -Prepare Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plans and Spill Prevention Control and Countermeasure Plans -Collaborate effectively with diverse business and technical teams to deliver multiple projects on time and within scope -Work directly and effectively with clients -Complete annual regulatory reports and monthly recordkeeping documentation -Act as client facing manager on small to medium size projects -Assist in preparing permit applications (CAA, WPDES, etc.) and technical documents, including reports, letters, and regulatory correspondence -Interpret and apply regulations and programs, including the Clean Air Act (CAA), Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA), Emergency Planning and Right-to-Know Act (EPCRA), Clean Water Act (CWA), and Spill Prevention Control and Countermeasure (SPCC) rules -Travel as required for fieldwork and other client/business objectives

-Experience preparing technical environmental compliance documents -Project management experience -Experience working with regulatory agencies -Bachelor’s Degree Environmental Science, Engineering or equivalent degree -Experience supporting and/or completing environmental audits and/or assessments -Minimum 5 years of experience in environmental consulting for industrial clients -Qualification-based environmental system auditor certification -Experience working in the food and beverage or light/heavy manufacturing industry -Experience preparing permit applications and managing compliance reporting
