Tasks

-Test all machines after repairs or service for proper operation. -Apply professional troubleshooting and diagnostic skills to equipment maintenance -Diagnose, maintain, service and repair all rental machines within the accepted time frame. This may require requesting additional help from other technicians to meet the objectives. -Communicate with the Service Manager daily regarding repair or maintenance issues that will affect the turnaround or status of Rental Fleet machines. -Maintain good records for time, parts, supplies, etc. for repairs and maintenance -Inspect all incoming Rental Machines thoroughly to determine if repairs or maintenance is needed and document finding on proper forms -Perform all repairs and services in a timely fashion and return readied machines to the yard. -In a timely fashion, complete and submit all inspection or other paper work to the proper individuals for processing. -Attend training specific to the Rental Tech position and factory/company scheduled training -Pre-order materials such as filters, fluids, and maintenance for known upcoming services or repairs -Analyze equipment operation and functions -Report any machine status changes to the proper individual immediately -Maintain and care for shop tools and work area.

What You Bring

-Ability to stoop, kneel, push, pull, twist and carry and lift up to 70lbs. -Ability to climb and perform work on heights of 15 feet -First and foremost the individual must comply with all safety and security requirements of the Company and branch. -Maintain excellent attendance record -Must have a minimum of 2 years experience in the heavy equipment industry or a related field -Must be able to pass a background, physical, and drug screen -Must provide own hand tools -Must have High School Diploma or equivalent, a 2 year technical degree or comparable military training is preferred -Must have a good working knowledge of equipment operations and mechanical functions. -Proficient with a computer, including the use of Microsoft programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) and diagnostic use using manufacturer provided programs. -Excellent written and oral communication and basic mathematical skills.
