Create and modify roadway design drawings using Civil 3D or MicroStation

Tasks

-Utilizing design software to produce detailed, and sometimes complex, drawings and plans for Roadway design projects. -Applying a variety of specification regulations, policies and standards to assure compliance with various Federal, State and local rules and regulations. -Working with engineers and other designers to incorporate design changes and revisions. -Utilizing advanced CAD techniques and tools to enhance drawings. -Organizing CAD files and project documentation and ensuring proper version control and distribution of files. -Assisting in the preparation of quantity takeoffs and materials lists.

The ideal candidate for this role will be a skilled CAD technician with experience working with Civil 3D and/or MicroStation. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing firm recognized as a 2025 Indiana Best Places to Work. -Reading and interpreting construction plans. -Must be able to read and write effectively with strong attention to detail. -General working knowledge of construction materials and practices. -Ability to work well independently and in a team environment. -Advanced proficiency with relevant design software. -Proficiency with Microsoft Office products including Excel, Word, and Adobe/Bluebeam PDF Software. -Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings. -4+ years of relevant experience working with Civil 3D and/or MicroStation. Experience working as a CAD Technician in Roadway/Highway design is strongly preferred. -Ability to work well with others. -Associate's degree in related field or equivalent knowledge and experience. -Strong written and verbal communication skills. -Strong proficiency with Civil 3D and/or MicroStation.
