Tasks

The Senior Project Engineer will be based on the construction project site and will provide high level support to the project staff to ensure quality and timely execution of design-build projects from design to completion. These phases include: Scheduling, subcontractor buyout, cost reporting, preparation of subcontracts, the handling of owner coordination, construction quality oversight, and project closeout. You may run smaller projects on your own, mentor Project Engineers, Summer Construction Interns, and take on the additional responsibilities to become a Project Manager. -Contribute to the analyzing and forecast of quarterly Total Cost Projection reports. -Assist in generation of project costs and Job Cost Report. -Participate in the project’s quality process. -Monitor project labor. -Oversee the submittal, change order, and pay request process. -Maintain understanding of the Clayco/Owner contract. -Assist Superintendent in the management of subcontractors. -Monitor and record training of all staff personnel. -Assist preconstruction services in bidding projects. -Coordinate with Project Superintendent in development of a project site logistics plan. -Participate with project team and preconstruction services in development of a Project Chart of Accounts. -Report and track equipment needs. -Contribute to schedule and project close-out processes. -Implement applicable safety, EEO, and Affirmative Action programs.

What You Bring

-3-7 years of experience managing construction projects ($5+ million) ideally design-build. -Previous experience leading a successful project management team. -Ability to lift objects of at least 50 lbs. -Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture or related. -This position is classified as a safety-sensitive role in accordance with applicable state and federal laws. Candidates selected for this position will be subject to a comprehensive background check, which includes mandatory drug testing. -Ability to walk a job site, climb ladders, and scale multi-floor scaffolding. -Our clients and projects are nationwide – Travel will be required. -Demonstrated knowledge of construction principles, practices, and technology.
