Logistics Operator

Overview

Handle storage, picking, loading, and safety in warehouse logistics.

Tasks

-Store goods safely in both warehouse and compound areas -Manage returnable IBCs -Pick customer orders accurately from pick lists -Manage parcel deliveries to and from office areas -Assist with stock checks and cycle counting activities -Support Production with tasks such as decanting and loading -Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment, including audits, stock segregation, and rotation -Support in developing and reviewing SOPs and risk assessments -Ensure correct segregation of waste streams -Load and unload delivery vehicles -Assisting Production in varied tasks EG Decanting products. -Participate in daily tier meetings and contribute to housekeeping and 5S practices -Deliver and support best practice standards

What You Bring

-GCSEs including Maths and English -Comfortable handling hazardous substances -Effective communication skills across operational teams -Valid Forklift Truck license -Familiarity with AkzoNobel’s company values and behaviours -Prioritise workload to ensure delivery deadlines and KPIs are met -Strong customer focus and team collaboration -Knowledge of HSE&S regulations, including Carriage of Dangerous Goods -Numerate and capable of working with and presenting data -Experience with paints or chemicals is advantageous -Demonstrable understanding of logistics operations
