The Role

Overview

Design and manage rail overhead catenary systems for New England projects.

Tasks

-Develop and maintain strong client relationships with clients -Coordinates with multiple departments related to a projects scope of work. -Lead major tasks -Leads technical client relationships related to design, construction and phasing of the work. -Mentors staff to develop a team to support work throughout New England and beyond. -Coordinates team and provides technical expertise for mid-large size projects -Serves as a project manager on mid-large size projects -Perform quality control reviews and design checks of railroad projects -Ensure compliance with all federal, state & local regulations Overhead Catenary System (OCS) -Will develop overhead catenary systems layout drawings, profiles, hanger tabulations, erection diagrams and technical specifications -Develop overhead catenary systems layout drawings, profiles, hanger tabulations, erection diagrams and technical specifications

What You Bring

-Strong analytical and communication skills -Excellent written and communication skills -Experience working with Connecticut Department of Transportation, Metro-North Railroad, Amtrak, MBTA, or other passenger/commuter railroad agencies -Valid US Driver’s License required to visit project sites, clients, and other AECOM offices. As a condition of employment, selected candidate must have a Valid Driver's License and pass AECOM's Motor Vehicle Records review. -Work on multiple projects simultaneously -10 years' experience in railway systems (Overhead Catenary Systems/Traction Power). -BA/BS in Civil or Structural Engineering or related field plus 6 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education. -6 years of related experience in railway (overhead catenary systems, traction power, track). -Experience with AutoCAD, Microstation, GEOPAK, OpenRoads or OpenRail
