What You Bring

-Experience with traffic analysis methods described in the VDOT Traffic Operations and Safety Analysis Manual (TOSAM) and VDOT Forecasting Guidebook. -Perform roadway intersection, interchange, and corridor transportation planning studies from start to finish. Ability to identify and diagnose study needs, perform traffic forecasting and future year analysis, develop alternative options, and produce documentation in support of grant funding applications. -PE is required. -6+ years of relevant experience. -Proficient in standard traffic operations modeling and simulation tools used in Virginia, which include HCS, Synchro/SimTraffic, Vissim, and SIDRA. -Understands and is able to apply Highway Capacity Manual (HCM) and Highway Safety Manual (HSM) traffic analysis methods. -Able to represent ATCS with client agencies and partner firms. -Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or relevant field is required.
