Principal Engineer Bridges

Overview

Lead bridge design projects, ensure quality delivery and coordination across regions.

Tasks

-Check & approve drawing as per design and specifications -Use non-project time productively by self and team training to improve software & technical skills -Agree on Priorities and deadlines; ensure timely delivery within fee allocation -Ensure timely & quality delivery of designs as per the defined standards to the clients -Design solutions, execution details, analysis and design of the structures; Prepare repair/ rehabilitation of existing structures -Proactively raising and resolving queries by identifying necessary inputs from others -Align work with WoW and maintain Document Control for all work -Archiving of data drawings and report management -Check & ensure the quality of the documents and adhere to contract deadlines

What You Bring

-Correlation with all the activities in the department coordinated by the Line Manager. -Experience in international standards (AASHTO, AREMA, BS / DMRB & Eurocodes). -Approaching towards attaining Chartered Engineering -Have experience to work / supervise on Software’s like MIDAS, Staadpro,ASBD -Have respect for deadlines and achieve targeted results whilst working individually as-well-as leading a small group of team members. -Middle East codes guidelines (MOMRA, TR-516, PWA-IANs, Kuwait DMRB etc.) experience is desired -Experience to work in/with other cultures for delivery of major infrastructure projects. -Ability to supervise team to work under pressure without supervision. -M.Tech/M.E/B.Tech/B.E. (Civil/Structural) -Innovation done in analysis and design of any bridge/structure and developing design as per latest/other codes -14+ years of experience in bridge design with a consulting firm -Excellent communication skills. -Employment with WSP India is subject to the successful completion of a background verification (“BGV”) check conducted by a third-party agency appointed by WSP India. -At least 14 years’ experience of working with Bridge design. -Technical and Management Excellence of engineering design and delivery of projects taking account of Health & Safety -Bachelors and Masters Degree in Civil / Structural Engineering.
