Tasks

-Develop design plans, construction documents, specifications, and cost estimates for bridge and transportation structures. -Support project managers with schedules, documentation, and presentations. -Promote, utilize and support QA/QC processes to guarantee quality deliverables. -Collaborate with internal teams, clients, subconsultants and agencies to ensure seamless project delivery. -Support bridge design engineering, including load rating, structural analysis, and foundation design. -Engage with dynamic groups such as the Community Impact and Fun Committees, Fisher Minds (ERG), and the Employee Advisory Group -Ensure designs adhere to state and local standards, regulations and safety codes. -Provide technical support during construction, respond to RFIs and attend site visits. -Maintain detailed records of bridge design documents, reports, and budgets. -Assist with field inspections and prepare detailed bridge inspection reports and analyze foundation design.

What You Bring

-Familiarity with state DOT design standards (NYSDOT or PennDOT) preferred -B.S. degree in Civil Engineering or a related field, Master’s preferred -Proficiency in MicroStation, STAAD and Bridge Design Software -0-5 years of transportation experience, structures/bridge design engineering experience preferred -Proven ability to deliver quality work through critical thinking, problem-solving, and sound judgment -You thrive in a culture that celebrates fun and fosters a relaxed, easy-going atmosphere, so you can bring the best of yourself to work every day. -Highly adaptable and proactive in meeting deliverables and deadlines -EIT preferred or ability to obtain it
