Tasks

-Ensure compliance with all relevant safety and environmental regulations -Lead and manage mid- to large-size transportation projects, overseeing all aspects of project lifecycle -Mentor and guide junior team members, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented environment -Estimate engineering budgets and schedules for large projects, ensuring efficient resource allocation -Perform quality control reviews of work developed by team members, ensuring adherence to industry standards and regulations -Conduct thorough analysis of traffic patterns, capacity needs, and safety considerations to inform project designs -Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality project outcomes -Coordinate with government agencies, stakeholders, and the public to obtain necessary approvals and address concerns -Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in transportation engineering -Develop and implement risk management strategies to mitigate potential project issues -Participate in the development of technical proposals for new projects -Provide specialized technical input and expertise for transportation studies and designs -Oversee the preparation of detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and contract documents -Develop and present complex technical solutions to clients, demonstrating innovative problem-solving skills -Facilitate project meetings and provide regular status updates to senior management and clients.

-Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving and decision-making skills -Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment -Willingness to adapt to new technologies and innovative approaches in transportation engineering -Strong knowledge of transportation industry standards, regulations, and best practices -Outstanding communication and presentation abilities, with experience in client-facing roles -Microstation, InRoads design software experience -Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools -Minimum of 8 years of experience in transportation engineering and project management -Proficiency in transportation design software, including OpenRoads, Microstation, and InRoads -Registered Professional Engineer in Idaho or ability to retain PE within 1 year -Registered Professional Engineer (PE) in Idaho or ability to obtain within one year -Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management skills -BS / BA + 10 years of experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education -Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field; Master's degree preferred -Project Management experience in Roadway/Highway projects -OpenRoads Design software experience is a plus -Excellent leadership, team management, and mentoring skills -Proven track record of successfully managing complex roadway/highway projects
