Tasks
-Perform work safely and effectively. Understand and follow oral and written instructions, including warning signs, equipment use, and other policies. -Prepare electrical engineering designs, including layout, design schematics, calculations and conceptual designs; utilizing standard methods and project principles. -Mentor and guide junior engineers, maintaining a comprehensive understanding of departmental design standards, applicable engineering codes, and Kiewit guidelines, providing suggestions and recommendations as needed. -Support RFP, Pre-Feed, FEED, D/B and EPC projects for electrical designs across multiple markets. -Utilize SmartPlant for balance of plant electrical systems design. -Review electrical requirements for new facilities and project plans. -Work independently on small projects, or as a part of a large multi-discipline team on larger projects, including working with both in-house inter-discipline engineers and construction partners to provide our Clients the industry’s best of both engineering and physical design. -Evaluate, select, and apply engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria to design medium to large industrial projects. -Work during normal operating hours to organize and complete work within given deadlines. Work overtime and weekends as required. -Perform ETP analysis and simulation, system modeling, protection coordination, reliability studies, load flow studies and grounding integrity -Formulate technical specifications and prepare interface points with construction partners. Schedule, review, and coordinate design efforts with other project personnel, performing bid evaluations of equipment and construction proposals and developing recommendations for contract award.

What You Bring
-Communicate and interact effectively and professionally with supervisors, employees, and others individually or in a team environment -Experience with ETAP simulation/analysis is required (or similar software). -At least 5 years’ experience performing Electrical engineering design for Industrial facilities (which could include Chemical plants, Mining/Mineral Processing, Power, Water/Wastewater, Processing plants, Advanced manufacturing plants, data centers, EV Battery). -Work productively and meet deadlines timely -Experience with FEED, D/B, EPC designs, familiar with 30/60/90% completion design progression. -Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited four-year college or university and EIT license is required. -Regular, reliable attendance -Experience with SmartPlant, or similar software for design. -PE preferred, or willingness to obtain within a year. -Experience in field construction or startup and previous experience directing junior engineers is desirable.
