The Role
Overview
Assemble and wire control equipment, perform testing, and ensure quality.

Tasks
-Operator of power tools, including battery powered and compressed air -Executes engineering and customer changes and makes repairs as required. -Determines necessary parts and material and prepares requisition to obtain parts and material from stock. -Observes all safety and hygiene rules and regulations. -Checks electrical / mechanical performance of completed assemblies to ensure conformance to Asheville Plant quality standards and makes necessary adjustments and alignment when required. -Maintains work area in a neat and orderly manner. -Prepares wire for assembly by cutting, stripping, and attaching terminals. -Route out, assembles, wires, adjusts, fits and modifies parts, components, and sub-assemblies to form completed control assembly. -Maintains records as required. -Works from drawings, engineering specifications, and manufacturing information to complete assembly and wiring of control equipment.

Active Duty military are exempt from the geographical requirement -Ability to bend, kneel, stoop, and squat, as it relates to moving materials, as well as moving up and down ladders frequently in relation to material handling, with or without accommodations -Must be able to work overtime – weekdays and weekends -Proven history of safe work habits -May require lifting, bending, ladder work and other forms of movement. -Able to read blueprints and wiring diagrams -Able to lift 35 pounds – waist, shoulder, overhead; with or without accommodations -Computer skills – Microsoft Office, Internet, etc.
