Tasks

-Act as a communication channel between engineering teams, R&D teams focused on traction transformers, and the design tool development teams. -Review and prioritize bug reports and change requests with local Hitachi Energy units, in collaboration with the Design System Manager. -Foster communication by developing software solutions that interact with Design Systems. -Collaborate on data ingestion techniques and AI applications within existing project frameworks. -Quickly integrate into the electrical design tool implementation for traction transformers used worldwide. -Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines -Participate in the Transformer Technology Center in Vadodara, IN, contributing to global projects and organizations. -Manage design project tasks, ensuring efficient interaction between electrical and mechanical design tools to improve the design process and tool efficiency. -Provide feedback and contribute to global improvement projects with innovative solutions and ideas for design optimization and product development. -Develop electrical design software for traction transformers, including tasks such as testing, debugging, validation, implementation, and documentation.

What You Bring

-2 - 8 years experience in electrical design; experience in transformer design is a plus. -Proficiency in both spoken and written English. -Strong independent working skills, with the ability to generate questions and ideas for discussion. -Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with an interest in Software Development. -Proficient in software development with strong logical thinking skills. -Willingness to travel and collaborate with colleagues in different Hitachi Energy units. -Familiarity with Matlab, VBA, and SQL is advantageous.
