Consultant - CFD

Overview

Conduct CFD fire and smoke modeling, collaborate, report findings, ensure compliance.

Tasks

-Collaborate with internal and external project stakeholders to communicate the CFD results and anticipated deliverables. -Ensure project programs are met and advise on any foreseen delays -Participate and support internal multi-discipline knowledge sharing initiatives. -Develop and conduct fire and smoke control simulations using CFD software. -Ensure regulatory requirements are met. -Communicate design requirement in a timely manner with the multidisciplinary design team. -Analyse fire dynamics and smoke movement in buildings and other structures. -Ensure compliance to QMS policies and procedures. -Develop high-quality technical report under the supervision of senior members. -Create comprehensive technical reports and presentations for clients and authorities.

What You Bring

-Experience of MS Office Suite of Programs. -Minimum 3 years' experience in the field of fire modelling. -Skilled in clearly communicating analysis findings to ensure they are easily understood by all stakeholders. -IDA software -Fire Dynamic Simulator -Ideal candidate will come from a fire safety engineering / mechanical engineering background. -Excellent report writing skills. -Degree in Fire Safety Engineering from an accredited education establishment would be advantageous. -Excellent presentation skills. -English language communication skill, written and verbal is critical. -Able to undertake research on specific issues and suggest potential solutions. -Able to manage the fire modelling of a project and meet project deadlines. -Employment with WSP India is subject to the successful completion of a background verification (“BGV”) check conducted by a third-party agency appointed by WSP India. -Skills in modelling tools:Fire Dynamic SimulatorSmokeviewPyrosimNAVISworksSubway Environmental SimulationIDA softwarePhotoshopPathfinder, CONTAM and Ansis is an advantage
