The Role

Overview

Moulds wind turbine blades by preparing molds, laying fiberglass, and managing infusion.

Tasks

-Apply gel coat, lay glass and foam, smooth wrinkles and trim glass -Maintain 5s standards -May be required to operate power tools -Perform moulding tasks following work instructions -Closing – repair and prepare wind turbine shells and glue them together -Wear designated personal protective equipment and follow all health and safety guidelines -Moulding – lay fiberglass and other materials in wind turbine shell moulds -Keep quality in mind while striving to create zero-defects during every blade build -Complete the infusion process – vacuum check, begin infusion, trouble shoot and take temperatures for remainder of process -Assemble root plate with bushings -Assembly – Apply all mounting equipment and customer specifications -Cut and Trim – Grind, scuff and apply fiber glass and chemicals -Lay profiles and place bag over shell -Contribute to a new era of reliable, affordable, and sustainable energy.
