Tasks

-Continuously measures the completion rate of personal deliverables and compares them to the scheduled commitments. -As a senior member of the Software Center of Excellence, exemplifying high-quality design, development, testing, and delivery practices. -Writes code that meets standards and delivers desired functionality using the technology selected for the project. -Mentor junior team members. -Build features such as web services and Queries on existing tables. -Develop and evolve software in a dynamic and agile environment using the latest technologies and infrastructure. -Collaborate with customers throughout the project lifecycle to ensure software quality and functionality meet standards and requirements. -Provide budget estimates for new project tasks to project leads and managers. -Interact with Product Development Teams, Customers, Solution Providers, and cross-functional teams as needed. -Apply SDLC principles and methodologies like Lean/Agile/XP, CI, software and product security, scalability, and testing techniques.

What You Bring

-Experience with both ANSI and Oracle join syntax. -Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills; able to produce professional and technical reports and conduct presentations. -Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engg./Power Systems -Experience with built-in Oracle packages such as DBMS_SCHEDULER. -Understanding of programing changes needed for RAC vs non-RAC implementations. -Ability to diagnose and remediate SQL performance issues. -Ability to implement code solutions from functional designs. -Experience working on software projects in the Energy domain (especially Bulk Power Energy Management) -Able to work well with global teams, including time-zone flexibility -Ability to work independently as well as with a remote team. -Experience with tools such as GIT, TFS, Toad for Oracle. -8 to 11 years of experience in Oracle development in an on-prem or cloud-based enterprise environment -Effective communication style for engaging with customers and cross-functional teams; utilizes product knowledge to mitigate risks and drive outcomes. -Experience with advanced PL/SQL features including advanced queues, triggers, types, functions, reference cursors, pipeline functions, subquery factoring clauses -Highly organized and efficient; adept at prioritizing and executing tasks. -Experience in Oracle 12c or higher (19c desired). -Transparent in problem-solving approaches and options; determines fair outcomes with shared trade-offs. -Skilled in breaking down problems, documenting problem statements and estimating efforts -Experience programming with PL/SQL (min 6 years) -Ability to translate requirements into functional designs. -Understand performance parameters and assess application performance
