Tasks

-Lead all cost management activities for data center projects, including cost planning, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting. -Deliver monthly cost summaries and executive-level reporting. -Develop and maintain detailed cost control procedures aligned with client and Churchill standards. -Support procurement and contract management processes to ensure cost efficiency and risk mitigation. -Identify cost risks and opportunities, ensuring appropriate contingency planning. -Mentor junior cost engineers and contribute to Churchill’s internal process improvement. -Maintain strong relationships with client teams, vendors, and internal Churchill leadership. -Drive value engineering initiatives to optimize project performance. -Manage and validate contractor cost submissions, change orders, and payment applications. -Produce program-level cost reports, cash flows, and variance analyses with actionable insights. -Oversee project budget tracking, cost coding, and data accuracy within client-specific systems.

The ideal candidate will have a strong technical foundation in cost control and reporting, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and the ability to communicate effectively with senior stakeholders in a fast-paced, data-driven environment. Churchill is seeking an experienced Senior Cost Manager to join our team on-site in Reno, Nevada, supporting a major data center program for a Fortune 100 technology client. This role is positioned within the client’s dedicated Program Management Office and is responsible for managing all aspects of cost planning, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting across a portfolio of high-value data center infrastructure projects. -15+ years of construction industry experience, with significant focus on cost management for data centers or mission-critical facilities. -Proven ability to develop and implement cost management frameworks. -Experience managing large capital programs or working within a client-side PMO. -Right to work in the United States. -Strong technical proficiency in cost reporting, forecasting, procurement, and contract administration. -Fluent in English (written and verbal). -Advanced skills in Google Sheets (formulas, pivot tables, and basic scripting). -Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering (Master’s preferred).
