Overview

Lead QA/QC inspections and welding qualification for shutdown projects.

Tasks

-Recording welding activities in the QC database (Hexagon) and project work packs -Conducting visual inspections of welds in line with AS/NZS and ASME codes -Monitoring welding processes, consumables, and equipment to ensure compliance with WPS -Liaising with T&I leads, mechanical supervisors and hot works supervisors -Assisting QA/QC teams with documentation and NDT contractor management -Ensuring that safety is always paramount and leading by example. -Managing welder qualifications, requalification processes, and maintaining MDR records

What You Bring

-Strong knowledge of AS and ASME welding codes and NDT requirements -Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role within Shutdown environments, plus 5 years’ trade experience. -Preferably AS1796 Welding Supervisor Certificate 10 or equivalent inspector certification (IIW, WTIA, CBIP, or CSWIP 3.1/3.2). -Strong communication and organisational skills under pressure. -Trade qualification in welding or fabrication.
