Overview
Lead end-to-end delivery of $50‑100M hotel/residential projects and mentor a PM team.

Tasks
In addition to delivering projects and managing and maintaining current client relationships there will be opportunities to assist with tender and proposal preparations and submissions. -Preparation and maintenance of Project Plans -Management of site variations and design changes -Managing a team of 6 PMs across multiple sectors from inception to completion -Working in a “live” environment (some of the buildings may remain open during construction) -Design co-ordination -Construction management of project delivery -Managing regulatory approvals -Managing the tender/proposal preparations and submissions -Provide mentorship to junior members of the team and offer guidance -Maintain strong client relations

What You Bring
The candidate can come from a head contractor or a client side background (will need to have some client side experience) with excellent progression opportunities. Candidate will need to have full project life cycle experience from inception to completion and have experience managing and mentoring a team. The role will be a hands on delivery focused PM and they are looking for someone to roll their sleeves up and deliver projects as well as mentoring a team delivering projects across multiple sectors. They are now looking for an experienced Project Director to join their successful team based in their Sydney office. You will be running projects from $50m to $100m + as well as project teams and reporting into a director. Ideally having some new build hotel and high end residential experience as well. -Superior leaderships and mentorship skills -High attention to detail and strong analytical skills -Excellent communication skillset both written and verbal -Proven end to end project management skills from concept through to completion -Tertiary qualification in Construction Management, Building, Project Management or similar -Proficient in MS Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Project as well as experience with various industry standard contract forms ie; GC21, MW21, AS4000, AS4122 and AS4902 -Ability to think on your feet and excellent problem solving skills -7 - 15+ years’ experience in a client side PM role, head contractor experience would also be ideal -Exposure to program management, managing timelines and critical paths -Excellent pipeline across new build Hotels and Mixed use projects amongst others -Experience of end to end project management on a variety of building projects, commercial fit out would be an advantage
