Project Engineer

Tasks

-Review requisitions, change orders, payment applications, and invoices. -Assist in consultant and contractor selection and contracting processes. -Engage with internal and external stakeholders to ensure project alignment. -Monitor and manage project budgets, ensuring alignment with financial targets. -Create and collaborate on project schedules and programs. -Develop and maintain accurate cost-to-complete reconciliations. -Develop site-specific safety plans and safe work method statements. -Obtain approvals for organizational changes and expenditures beyond budget. -Provide technical support to onsite teams, particularly in HVAC systems. -Support site staff in identifying requirements, estimating costs, and preparing schedules. -Assist in resolving onsite issues promptly. -Liaise with clients before and during project delivery; prepare and deliver update reports. -Issue regular internal status reports on work progress. -Manage material procurement and ensure cost control aligned with schedules and cashflow. -Provide frequent updates on financial performance, including actual vs. budget reporting. -Coordinate with engineers, consultants, and client-side project managers. -Lead toolbox meetings focused on health and safety. -Manage vendor relationships, including pre-qualification, insurance compliance, and H&S performance. -Manage logistics for owned and hired equipment.

What You Bring

-Technical knowledge of mechanical HVAC systems and installations -Strong financial acumen and budget management skills -Minimum 4 years of experience in architecture, construction, or project management -Time Management -Proven experience in HVAC or mechanical services project delivery -Organizational Skills -Communication Proficiency (oral and written) -Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities -Knowledge of health and safety regulations and compliance -Mechanical technical knowledge and installation experience
