Tasks
B&D participates in E-verify -Support year-end processes, including W-2 reporting, third-party sick pay, relocation reimbursements, and other taxable benefits. -Coordinate with managers to verify timely approval of all time entries. -Assist with the annual workers’ compensation audit and 401(k) census, coordinating with HR and Accounting. -Lead all payroll operations, ensuring accurate, timely semi-monthly payroll processing using ADP Workforce Now. -Oversee ADP tax filings and deposits, and handle garnishments in compliance with legal requirements. -Respond to employee payroll inquiries and investigate discrepancies promptly. -Partner with HR to capture all employee changes—hires, terminations, salary adjustments, benefits, etc.—prior to each payroll cycle. -Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations. -Manage 401(k) contributions, payroll reconciliations, and general ledger postings.

What You Bring
This fully remote role is ideal for someone who’s motivated, eager to learn, and excited to take ownership of their work while growing into a broader leadership track over time. Expected travel to our Washington, D.C., up to 4 times per year at a minimum. -Strong knowledge of ADP Workforce Now or similar payroll systems. -Experience with 401(k) plan administration and year-end payroll processes. -Minimum of 5 years of payroll experience, preferably in a managerial capacity. -Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to collaborate effectively with HR, Accounting, and management teams -Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills. -Full authorization to work in the United States without a visa sponsorship. B&D is unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of employment visas now or in the future. -Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred. -Thorough understanding of federal and state payroll regulations, tax filings, and reporting requirements. -Aptitude and self-motivation for continuous learning, professional growth, and development.
