Design high‑voltage substations up to 400 kV, manage projects and support teams.

Tasks

-Follow safety, quality, and environmental rules (OHSAS 18001, ISO9001, ISO14001) -Support and train engineers and CAD technicians -Help with tenders, contracts, and technical drawings -Join design reviews and help improve standards and processes -Design substations that meet client needs, budgets, and deadlines -Work closely with teams and clients to deliver projects smoothly -Visit sites often and stay connected with the operations team

What You Bring

-Knowledge of related areas: overhead lines, civil design, protection & control, HV cables -Bonus: MSc, chartership, expert in CDEGS, AutoCAD, and power system tools -Communicate clearly and professionally across all levels -Degree or HND in Electrical/Electronic Engineering -Skilled in 2D CAD software (Autodesk preferred) -Experience with NGET stage 4.4 design and earthing up to 400kV -Strong knowledge of National Grid, British Standards, and UK design rules -Able to quickly learn new engineering software -5+ years’ experience in power transmission and substation design
