Managed Lanes Shift Leader

Tasks

-Enter into SunGuide software all scheduled and unscheduled events and congestion in the Managed Lanes and disseminate information using ITS devices, websites, and FL511system -Monitor Express and general-purpose lanes -Monitor field devices along Express and general-purpose lanes and report failures in accordance with District 7 RTMC SOP -Coordinate with maintenance staff as needed -Manage events in the Express Lanes in accordance with District 7 ELOPs and District 7 RTMC SOP -Monitor the status of Managed Lanes using CCTV cameras, RRSP, detector data, etc. to include detecting, confirming, updating, and responding to scheduled and unscheduled traffic and incident management events, congestion, and travel time imbalances in the geographical coverage area -Closely coordinate and support all Express Lanes operations -Prepare or assist with the preparation of Express Lanes reports -Detect, confirm, and report equipment faults affecting Control Room equipment and RTMC system field equipment -Primary operators of the Statewide Express Lanes Software (SELS) -Dispatch RRSPs and RISC to motorists, events, and to assist law enforcement in a timely and efficient manner -Verify trip and segment toll amounts are displayed correctly every 15 minutes -Send executive notification e-mails in the absence of a supervisor or Shift Leader -Manage WWD events in the Managed Lanes -Follow time requirements in the District 7 RTMC SOP for event confirmation, RRSP and RISC dispatching, DMS message posting, FL511 system update, etc. -Coordinate with other Control Room staff, law enforcement, and external agencies in response to incidents -Follow FDOT District 7 policies and procedures, including the District 7 RTMC SOP

What You Bring

-Extensive knowledge of traffic management systems such as SunGuide -Knowledge of ITS principles -Skills in leadership and knowledge of key management concepts -Ability to clearly communicate information over a radio system or network -One (1) year experience as a Managed Lanes Operator III in an RTMC or equivalent facility -Ability and willingness to work alternate schedules and be on-call 24 hours per day -Ability to clearly communicate technical information in non-technical language verbally and in writing -Skilled in the use of FMS, ATMS, and SELS software
