Tasks
-Team leadership and player - works collaboratively and consultatively; leads and develops a culture of team working across the UK Water business -Identify opportunities to upskill existing technical resources or recruit new capabilities to deliver additional services or enhance existing ones. -Promote WSP Vision and Values. -Establish and monitor service performance levels, pre-empting customer service issues and intervene as necessary to implement corrective actions. -Ensure budget utilization are met or exceeded -Carry out audits of adherence to WSP Management and Quality processes and implement corrective measures where required. -Deliver successful commercial performance by clearly understanding and monitoring the area of work and ensure agreed targets are met -Inclusively lead people, clearly articulating the vision, defining responsibilities, delegating effectively, and providing constructive feedback -Managing people through change and develop succession plans -Carry out and report on staff appraisals and performance development reviews -Support with the development of GCC services linked to both resources and technology enhancements that will add confidence and efficiency to our services through seamless quality and on time delivery. -Establish a strong relationship with the internal clients – the regional support functions and operational business – to understand future needs and address any perceived or actual issues. -Ensuring that the Business Management System is implemented and maintained. -Create and support innovation -Inspire and motivate our people towards technical progression -Engage directly with clients throughout the project lifecycle – either independently or as part of a broader delivery team -Proactively influences Health, Safety and Wellbeing -Contribute to knowledge sharing in internal and external forums and including technical input to your team -Ensure budgeted earning capacity is met or exceeded -Provide leadership to a multidisciplinary team on different locations to variety of projects. -Maintain strong colleague relationships and contribute to the teams’ performance in delivering exceptional client satisfaction -Identify further skills that could be brought into the GCC to deliver additional services or enhancements to various businesses. -Remain up to date with market and competitor knowledge across our industry -Work with each Business Line and appropriate international colleagues, to identify areas where we can expand our services and improve the output.

Designs, communicates, engages and drives the implementation of design and technical initiatives and strategies -Problem Solving – able to reason logically and apply a systematic process to finding solutions; is proactive in responding to problems; able to apply sound logic in situations of ambiguity and employs problem solving methodologies across a range of circumstances. -Relationship Building - able to establish, build, sustain and share strong, professional relationships with relevant internal and external groups. Driven to exceed client expectations -Carry wider business acumen and interest in business leadership -Employment with WSP India is subject to the successful completion of a background verification (“BGV”) check conducted by a third-party agency appointed by WSP India. -Professional / Chartered Engineer status from a recognized UK professional institution -Travel - Capacity and flexibility to visit the UK on need basis -Working knowledge of UK design standards and code in the Water industry -Seasoned professional with at least 20 years’ experience in design, project management, project delivery, advisory or in leadership in a consulting engineering environment. More than 5 years of experience in working with the UK market. Strong experience in the Water industry -Technical skills – Knowledge of the Engineering, Design, Consulting and Advisory industry -Educated to Bachelor / Masters degree level in Civil Engineering
