Installs, repairs, and performs maintenance on industrial generators and backup power systems.

Tasks
-Evaluates and recommends any required repairs -Proactively stays up to date on safety training, compliance, and knowledge of HAZ MAT and DOT requirements -Continually trains and develops to advance to next levels of Generator Technician -Must conform to company policies and procedures and meet company goals and objectives as well as protect the company assets and interests

What You Bring
-Possess troubleshooting skills and be able to effectively operate basic shop equipment -Must be able to work flexible hours, days, travel and stay overnight -Experience installing/repairing generators preferred -Able to perform generator troubleshooting and diagnostics -Maintains knowledge of updated changes in various models of equipment -Ability to maintain a professional appearance, promote and maintain a clean, neat, and safe work environment -Industry experience preferred - Generators, Power Equipment, and Transfer Switches -Must be able to pass and maintain drug and alcohol testing requirements -High school diploma or equivalent -Demonstrates honesty and integrity in work and relationships -Demonstrates servant-based principles with internal and external customers -Possess a working knowledge of the Generator Technician position and how it relates to the overall business and its' objectives -Efficient in Microsoft Suite products including Excel, Word, Outlook and Power Point -Possesses strong work ethic and takes ownership of both company and client goals/objectives -Must be able to work arms extended above head for extended amounts of time -Must be able to bend and twist several times a day -Must be computer literate, a Windows based environment preferred (MS Word, Excel, Power Point, Access, Outlook) -Excellent customer skills -Able to perform generator repairs of industrial generators as well as preventative maintenance -Must be able to lift 100-150 pounds several times a day -Must be dependable and able to work independently -Demonstrates innovation/creativity in work -Must have and be able to maintain a current driver's license and acceptable driving record per HM Cragg insurance carrier standard
