The Role

Overview

Support infrastructure projects by handling scheduling, contracts, and cost controls.

Tasks

-Assist with the development and maintenance of the project master schedule using appropriate techniques and Primavera scheduling software with input from other project management personnel. -Assist project managers with development of project procedures. -Assist with completing monthly Time Impact Analysis’ (TIAs) -Read and understand plans and specifications. Visualize two-dimensional drawings in three dimensions. -Perform work safely and effectively. Understand and follow oral and written instructions, including warning signs, equipment use, and other policies. -Review new issue drawings and contract documents for change of conditions; quantify impact of changes and review with job teams. -Assist projects with compiling and management of short-term schedule development and reporting (90-day and 3-Week look ahead schedules) -Assist in the tracking of project change orders and development of projections. -Travel to jobsites as necessary. -Complete progress and quantity audits to validate reported progress. -Work during normal operating hours to organize and complete work within given deadlines. Work overtime and weekends as required. -Produce monthly reports on schedule and cost progress, trends, and forecasts. -Examine/inspect field conditions and identify problems, inaccuracies, and cost saving measures that arise or that may be encountered. Take corrective actions as needed.

-Team player with the ability to work independently to meet deadlines, goals and objectives. -Demonstrated commitment to ethics and integrity. -Experience performing Monthly Schedule Updates and Time Impact Analysis’. -Regular, reliable attendance -Ability to travel. -Strong work ethic, willing to do what it takes to get the job done right the first time. -Ability to read, analyze and identify discrepancies on engineering plans, specifications, and contract documents. -Understand company and project quality control and quality assurance procedures. -2+ years’ experience in Project Controls/Project Engineering. -Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills. -Work productively and meet deadlines timely -Knowledge of project management software such as Microsoft Office Suite and Primavera. -Strong organization, time management, and attention to detail. -Experience utilizing SAP is preferred, but not required. -Ability to analyze project data and provide summary level project reports for management. -Communicate and interact effectively and professionally with supervisors, employees, and others individually or in a team environment
