Tasks

-Take the lead on managing and resolving litigation matters, particularly those involving the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) and other regulatory disputes. -Draft, negotiate, and finalize sales agreements, contracts, and other documents to protect the company and contribute to its success. -Provide a range of legal, regulatory, and business support, guidance, and advice to internal teams.

What You Bring

-Superlative oral and written communication skills -Highest level of professional ethics and personal integrity and sound judgment -Basic understanding of or the ability to learn about software development, complex relational databases, cloud computing, and software-as-a-service (SaaS) -Risk assessment and management experience a plus -Open to candidates in Waltham, MA** -Law degree from an ABA-accredited law school -Interest in learning and analyzing complex statutes (including the FCRA), case law, and other primary and secondary sources and the ability to provide clear and sound conclusions and recommendations -Active Bar membership in the United States with no record of discipline -Ability to travel up to 35% -Litigation management experience in both state and federal court -Strong and demonstrated ability to work individually and as a team, including under pressure, with minimal direct supervision and while managing many competing priorities -Proficiency with Adobe Acrobat®, Microsoft® Word, and Outlook, and ability to learn and use proprietary customer/matter management software -Familiarity working with software developers is a plus -Working knowledge of or the ability to learn about the FCRA, consumer reporting, and tenant screening -A mix of law firm and in-house legal experience -Five (5) to eight (8) years of relevant legal experience, with some meaningful commercial litigation experience
