Senior Piping Designer

Overview

Design and detail piping systems for Energy, Chemical & Mineral projects in Brisbane.

Tasks

-Participate in the development and continuous improvement of the Quality management process and system. -Utilise your technical expertise to prepare specifications, develop engineering scopes, and conduct design reviews to deliver optimal solutions. -Participate in the review of designs and advise on technical drafting difficulties or government compliance requirements as appropriate. -Collaborate on various project phases, working closely with internal and external stakeholders. -Work within multidisciplinary teams to expand your experience and capabilities. -Prepare designs and detail drawings from plans, sketches or other design/specification data. -Contribute to a variety of projects across all engineering phases -Contribute to periodic reporting e.g. Project progress; resource requirements, Project budget versus cost, priorities, allocation of work, team needs. -Upkeep of drawing list and percentage complete status. -Prepare PFS and detailed design drawings of plant, equipment, services or other structures as directed.

What You Bring

-Plant Layout knowledge -Ability to work dynamically in a changing industry. -Understand Sedgman standard specifications, typical/standard drawings, and calculations/simulations to reflect current industry standards. -Autodesk base products and Bentley suite advantageous. -Experience autonomy and take ownership of your role, fostering personal and professional growth. -Knowledge of piping and structural modelling -Skills in MS Office suite. -Mining and/or Metals industry experience. -Associate Diploma in CAD / Associate Degree in Engineering or equivalent. -Minimum 7 years’ experience in design/consultancy/operational environment.
