The Head of Marketing for Thorn Lighting is responsible for driving the global marketing strategy and brand positioning across all product lines and application areas, with a particular focus on strengthening Thorn’s presence in both outdoor and indoor lighting, as well as connected and digital solutions.

  • You will enable a consistent, customer-driven approach from product conception through to market launch.
  • Drive demand generation, creation of knowledge-based materials, managing product launches, all whilst ensuring strong return on marketing investment across all regions and channels.
  • You are to be responsible for developing and executing the global marketing and campaign strategy that supports Thorn’s sustainable growth within the Zumtobel Group.
  • Lead the team of our marketing professionals and be accountable for the commercial success and profitability of the brand’s portfolio, ensuring that Thorn continues to deliver meaningful, application-led lighting solutions to customers worldwide.
  • You will ensure full alignment with Head of Marketing Zumtobel Brand, Group Corporate Communications, Customer Experience Management and Field Marketing across all clusters and countries.
  • You should ensure seamless alignment and collaboration between Brand Marketing, Application Management, Product Management, other functions within the brand.

  • Proficient in using MS Office suite, Adobe Creative Suite 6, Illustrator, and InDesign which are necessary for the creation of engaging branding materials and content.
  • Proven expertise in development and implementation of brand strategies
  • You should be a hands on individual who is up to date with the ever-evolving marketing methods & tools with a focus on digital marketing channels (Social Media, Content & Performance Marketing).
  • You should have a degree in marketing, communication, business administration.
  • Experienced with dealing with latest AI tools will be a great asset.
  • Excellent communication skills to engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, global environment with a collaborative mindset.
  • Professional experience in brand marketing, ideally in a leading position within a B2B manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in creating engaging branding materials, reports, and presentations.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience in collaborating with global and regional marketing teams.
  • Ability to travel for up to 20-30% of time mainly across Europe.
  • Data-driven mindset with the ability to analyse metrics such as NPS and adjust strategies accordingly.
