Tasks
-Problem Solving: Take responsibility for addressing issues promptly and effectively, while maintaining strong communication with stakeholders -Customer Support: Conduct studies and ensure compliance for customer and distributed generation interconnections, offering technical guidance to customer groups. -Collaboration: Work with various National Grid departments, including Electric Operations, Regional Control Centers and Distribution Design, to support integration of distributed generation, deployment of grid modernization, customer centric solutions and compliance with regulatory requirements. -Reliability Performance: Track and enhance regional distribution and sub-transmission reliability, promoting actions for improvement. -System Planning & Asset Management: Provide strategic direction for immediate and long-term planning of sub-transmission and distribution systems to enhance resilience and meet capacity requirements. -Process Improvement: Proactively identify and implement changes to enhance performance, efficiency, and effectiveness of engineering processes.

-Valid driver’s license required with a safe driving history that meets National Grid’s Safe Driver policy -Work authorization that does not now or in the future require sponsorship of a visa for employment authorization in the United States (such as sponsorship for an H-1B, TN, O, L, STEM OPT, or other employment-based work authorization) -Ability to begin the National Grid Graduate Program on June 8, 2026, or July 13, 2026 -Graduated between May 2025 and June 2026 -Bachelor or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution
