Estimate commercial glass and glazing projects, prepare takeoffs, manage bids, and coordinate with clients.

Tasks
-Attend jobsite visits and pre-bid meetings when needed -Monitor bid dates to ensure all takeoffs are completed on schedule -Obtain material pricing and application instructions from vendors, maintaining documentation for future purchasing -Communicate with clients for questions or clarifications and organize responses as part of the bid package -Compile detailed takeoffs for exterior glass, interior glass, and metal panel systems using SF, LF, and count measurements -Review completed takeoffs with supervisors to ensure accurate, comprehensive, and timely estimates -Collect and organize bid documents, specifications, and blueprints for assigned projects -Review drawings and specifications to determine scope of work and required line items

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled professional with a strong background in commercial glass and glazing to contribute to complex storefront, curtain wall, and metal panel projects. -Curtain wall systems (stick-built and unitized) -Ability to read drawings, conceptualize building design, and systematically measure building components -Minimum of 5 years estimating experience in the commercial glass and glazing industry -Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Windows, and Bluebeam; adaptable to new software -Highly organized with strong attention to detail -Degree in Architectural, Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent experience
