Tasks
-Perform work safely and effectively. Understand and follow oral and written instructions, including warning signs, equipment use, and other policies. -Visit construction sites, meet in client offices, and travel out of town to tour supplier facilities as required by projects and assignments. -Create computer models of overhead electric transmission lines and structures in PLS-CADD, PLS-POLE and PLS TOWER. -Establish design criteria based on industry, company, and/or client standards. -Participate in peer reviews to meet quality expectations and client standards to build a culture of excellence and continuous improvement. -Develop construction packages for internal construction crews and client contractors that include plan & profiles, staking sheets, bill of materials, structure details, foundation drawings, and installation specifications. -Work during normal operating hours to organize and complete work within given deadlines. Work overtime and weekends as required. -Assemble drawings, specifications, and design criteria for the procurement of tubular steel structures, lattice towers, and transmission line hardware. Review the vendor supplied calculations and drawings for compliance. -Discover opportunities to collaborate in a team environment to understand client needs, prepare deliverables, and provide project updates. -Present to management, analyze PLS-CADD reports, formulate design aids, and draft reports using Microsoft 365 (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint, Power BI, and Yammer).

What You Bring
-At least 2 years’ experience designing transmission lines between 69kV and 345kV -Experience in PLS-CADD, PLS-POLE -Knowledge of client and industry standards, including NESC, ASCE, IEEE, and RUS -Work productively and meet deadlines timely -Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field -Communicate and interact effectively and professionally with supervisors, employees, and others individually or in a team environment. -Knowledge of MFAD, LPILE, and geotechnical recommendation application for foundation design, preferred -Engineer-In-Training (EIT) certification (or successful completion of FE exam) preferred -Regular, reliable attendance
