Leads data center crew, overseeing infrastructure tasks, installations, and compliance.

Tasks
-Implements cable work order (CWO) MACs, testing and certification, and can assist with crafting LV project BOM and scope documents -Must promote the Company culture and mission to all employees, vendors, clients and business partners. -Maintain the secure hard drive disk (HDD) bin and log, and ensure compliance with respect to retention practices and notification to DCIT as/when required -Maintain a safe and secure operating environment within the GPN data center, and report any violations to DCIT immediately as necessary -Provide equipment installation MACs, including device labeling, power connectivity and LV cable connectivity and proper cable dressing -Responsible for the development, documentation and monitoring of performance measures and processes required for audit and operational compliance related to datacenter best practices and industry standards; Responsible for ISO 27001 / 9001 and TIA/EIA-942 certifications. -Coordinates equipment installation and delivery schedules in accordance with set project plans -Asset auditing and daily error logs -Provide general cleaning on raised floor, cabinet/rack exterior surfaces, work benches and other areas as needed on a weekly basis -Support standard and emergency operating procedures for data center. -Directly participate and provide key input for all data center expansion, migration and decommissioning plan -Provide smart-hands assistance as required -Daily error log reporting and physical DC inspections for general health, power, cooling, hazards, etc. -Directly support and coordinate all scheduled data center MACs based on set DCIT calendar event scheduling -Coordinate equipment/material receiving, shipping and RMA processing support as/when required -Ensure maintenance schedules within the Data Center align with best industry standards and are followed and reviewed annually. -Provide status reporting regarding Data Center service availability, performance, capacity utilization as required.

What You Bring
-Must be able to work at heights, off of a ladder and in confined spaces, lift up to 50 pounds and move up to 75 pounds. -Must possess and be able to effectively use the tools listed above. -Basic understanding of AC/DC power principles -Must possess at least a High School diploma or GED equivalency -General knowledge of telecom/IP equipment and software configurations -Must possess a minimum of three (3) years of experience in telecommunications or related technical field. -Must know the universal communications color codes. -Concise, detailed documentation and record keeping relative to asset installation layout, cable plant patch matrix, cable labelling standards, etc. -Must be self-motivated, positive in approach, professional and help create, develop and implement project process improvement(s). -Must be able to terminate fiber. -Troubleshooting layer-1 suspected cable plant issues -Must meet Company minimum driving standards. -Must be able to act as the Company liaison for interface with customer representative(s). -3-5 years working in data centers relative to the datacom/telecom industry, operations and administration or related technical field -Must possess a minimum of six (6) months supervisory and/or managerial experience. -Excellent communication and customer relationship skills -Strong skills and familiarity with basic computer productivity tools such as MS Office (Word, Excel, etc.), testing tools/applications, and data center infrastructure (DCIM) related tools -Any network, storage or server certifications are a plus -Regular attendance is mandatory -Must be able to see and distinguish different colors, read small print and hear and recognize audible signals such as dial tones. -Must possess proven problem solving skills, critical thinking skills and the ability to effectively read, write and give oral presentation(s). -Strong aptitude for independent working environment and high productivity rate -Must be proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and MS Project) -Must have proven skill level to interpret blueprints and other project documents, including but not limited to, specifications, reporting and quality requirements.
